This “new” artist I’ve stumbled upon (with the help of my friend Laine Gordon) is the real deal. His name is Sean Hayes, and you (like Laine) may have heard his song “Powerful Stuff” on a Subaru commercial. When I look at this guy, he makes me think someone was driving along and found him homeless and holding a “I’m blessed with a golden voice” sign, except he didn’t get a haircut or make any attempt to not look homeless anymore. Either way, he DOES have a golden voice, exudes soul in his music, and a couple of songs on his newest album “Run Wolves Run” even make me think the producers let Sean take a quick power nap and rest his voice while they recorded Amos Lee being backed up by The Black Keys. You should jaunt over to amazon.com, preview some songs, and download his album at a lower price than iTunes. Just sayin…
